- Accepted Christ as Savior of his life at Harvey Cedars Bible Camp at age 13
- Was actively involved in the church that meets at Calvary Baptist Church and the Warehouse youth ministry team in Bristol, PA during high school and college
- Baptized November 7, 1993
- Dedicated his life to God’s service at a Warehouse winter retreat during senior year of high school: January 1993
- Attended Urbana 93 where God called him to be an evangelist
- B.S. degree in Bible and minor in missions from Philadelphia College of Bible: 1994-98
- Volunteer staff worker with Warehouse youth ministry: 1993-98

Sonja
- Grew up in Christian home in Phoenixville, PA
- Accepted Christ as Savior during summer camp at Camp Innabah at age 11
- Worked in camping ministry at Camp Innabah: 1997-98
- Actively involved in Agape Christian group at college and was co-leader for two years
- Baptized March 3, 2002
- Met Mike at volunteer training day at Camp Innabah and learned about Thailand
- Both Mike and Sonja officially accepted as Fellowship International Mission missionaries: August 2002
- Volunteer staff worker for various children’s ministries (Children’s church, VBS, WOL, etc): 2001-06
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia 2003
